Horsford & Poteat Realty was founded in 1995 by Alyah Horsford-Sidberry, Edward Poteat and Robert Horsford. Our first project involved the development of six buildings in a dilapidated section of Harlem, NY. Since that time, we have developed more than 700 units of affordable housing. Based in New York City, we have worked with municipal entities and not for profit entities from Bridgeport, Connecticut to Baltimore, Maryland.

Horsford & Poteat Realty (HP Realty) is a developer, general contractor, and construction manager. HP Realty focuses on the rehabilitation and new construction of rental housing, for-sale housing, and select commercial projects. The principals and staff of HP Realty have over 20 years of experience in construction, real estate finance, and construction management. Additionally, HP Realty prides itself on its extensive track record of completing government-sponsored housing programs on time and within budget. Our diverse client base includes major building owners, municipal agencies, and non-profit organizations.

Through its affiliated companies (see Links Page), the firm also provides construction (Apex Building Company) and brokerage services (Apollo Realty) to municipalities, not for profit and for profit entities.
