2065 Morris Avenue
Horsford & Poteat Realty in conjunction with CMC DEVELOPMENT LLC and MASTERMIND MANAGEMENT LTD, propose to develop NEW units of rental affordable housing at 2065 Morris Avenue in the Mount Hope section of the Bronx. The new project will be an 11 story building consisting of 14 Studios, 8 one-bedroom, and 41 two-bedroom units. The proposed 2065 Morris Avenue project is an effort to address the lack of affordable family housing in the Bronx. 2065 Morris Avenue will provide safe, decent, affordable housing for low-income families at risk of homelessness.

2065 Morris Avenue will be developed as a mixed-use project with 63 units of housing, including a community office space on the ground floor level of the building. All of the residential units will be tax credit eligible and affordable to families with incomes at or below 60% AMI.
All apartments will be handicap accessible with entry through the first floor lobby. The building will have a laundry room, community meeting room for residents, open space and garden at the rear of the building. The estimated construction time will be 18 months beginning in January 2008.
The development is located within one half mile of schools, libraries, churches, open space, health and medical services and a variety of additional community amenities and facilities.
The rent-up process will begin July 2009 (month 18 of construction) and the developers will begin marketing the units in accordance with HDC and HPD requirements and Fair Housing Laws.
